Rockline Industries Releases Sustainability Report, Announces New Sustainability Goals

Company exceeds 2015 targets for energy, greenhouse gas emmisions, solid waste and landfill rate reductions

SHEBOYGAN, Wis. – Nov. 9, 2015 – Rockline Industries, one of the world’s largest private-label manufacturers of coffee filters and consumer, medical and commercial wet wipes, today released its seventh annual Sustainability Report, which outlines the company’s performance relative to the 2015 environmental sustainability goals. The company also announced a new set of 2020 goals designed to demonstrate Rockline’s continued commitment to sustainability.

Among the key accomplishments highlighted in the report is a 21% intensity reduction in energy compared to 2009 levels. Over the last six years, the company has focused on energy efficiency and invested in lighting upgrades, motion sensor installations, roof insulation projects, smart compression systems, the adoption of battery-electric forklifts, and the installation of a geothermal heating and cooling system. Energy reduction also provides the benefit of reducing the company’s carbon footprint and helped the company to achieve a 22% intensity reduction in greenhouse gas emissions.

Rockline also announced a new set of sustainability goals, building upon the success of the past six years. These 2020 goals target further reductions in energy, greenhouse gas, water, solid waste, landfill and emissions from outbound transportation.

“Much has changed since our founding 40 years ago, but what remains the same are our core values and our commitment to sustainability,” said Randy Rudolph, president of Rockline Industries. “We are proud of the work we do every day to strengthen our company and create a better world for us all.”
