Employees achieve one million accumulated work hours safely
Booneville, Ark. – The Arkansas Department of Labor’s Occupational Safety and Health Division recently announced that Rockline Industries’ Booneville plant is a recipient of the One Million Work Hours Safety Award.
The award recognizes companies whose employees have accumulated one million work hours without a lost day away from work due to a work related injury or illness between August 2011 and November 2013.
The award was presented on Tuesday, January 22 at Rockline’s Booneville, Arkansas plant.
Contributing to Rockline’s success is the company’s proactive behavioral-based safety program, which trains employees to observe work tasks and provide immediate safety feedback to those involved. It also trains production team members to serve as safety coordinators who help improve training and communication at a smaller, teachable team level.
“It’s an honor to receive this award,” said Cynthia Totton, Safety Manager. “At Rockline we work diligently to ensure each employee’s safety. We’ve achieved this accomplishment because of the dedicated employees who are focused on creating and working in a safe environment.”
